Cut and Paste
  • If you want to save an e-mail message without including information such as names, subjects, dates and times, or if you want to save only a portion of the content of an e-mail message, you can “cut and paste” all or a portion of it into another software application such as Word, Works, Notepad, etc.

  • Use your mouse to highlight all pertinent information in the e-mail message you want to save

  • Right click and choose "Copy"

  • Open the word processing application you wish to use

  • Right click and choose “Paste”

  • The information you want will now appear in the application you have chosen. You can format this document and save it to a file as you normally would a word processing document or you can print it. Close the application and return to your e-mail program.

  • If you have information in a word processing file you want to send to someone, you can use the same “cut and paste” method in reverse to move that information from the file to an e-mail message.
